Musculoskeletal Ultrasound: In our effort to bring you the most state-of-the-art care, we are proud to offer musculoskeletal ultrasound for both diagnostic and therapeutic care of orthopedic injuries. Ultrasound is a quick, pain-free, in-office imaging modality which allows our physicians to make diagnoses of muscle, ligament and tendon injuries. Ultrasound, as opposed to x-ray and CAT scans, is radiation free and recent advances have made this modality much more sensitive for detecting injury. In addition to its’ diagnostic utility, ultrasound also enables our physicians to deliver injections and perform therapeutic procedures to pinpoint anatomic accuracy.

Osteopathic Manipulation Therapy: Osteopathic manipulation treatment (OMT) involves using hands to diagnose, treat, and prevent illness and injury. The physician will move your muscles and joints using techniques that incorporate stretching, gentle pressure and resistance. This technique is safe to use on all patients to help ease pain, promote healing, and increase mobility. OMT is also used ot help with conditions such as asthma, sinus disorders, carpel tunnel syndrome, migraines, and menstrual pain. OMT can be used in place of drugs such as pain relievers.

Fracture Care: Our Sports Medicine Physicians can help in the treatment and recovery of bone fractures. Our facility is equipped with an x-ray machine and trained technician to provide immediate results to ensure proper care for our injured patients. Our facility also has a casting room where our physicians are able to form hard casts, and fit patients for splints so no further damage is done to the fractured area. If the patient requires orthopedic consultations for surgery we refer our patients to other outstanding facilities.

Injection Therapy: Our doctors are skilled in a wide range of therapeutic injection techniques. When indicated, they can perform injections for joint, tendon, ligament and muscular conditions. To treat acute or chronic pain, tendonitis, arthritis or ligamentous laxity, our doctor’s will help you decide which injection therapy will be the most helpful and beneficial to your recovery.

Brace Fitting: When injuries occur, judicious use of bracing may be able to help you return to activity safely and with less pain. Our physicians and staff are trained in brace types, appropriate fitting, and functional evaluation of movements while braced among many others.  We are proud to offer many different brace types from the leading manufacturors including Bioskin and DonJoy.
